Use This Exercise:


  1. To release yourself from the terrible pit in your stomach that tells you that you're a failure because of an error in judgment, a failure, or a dreadful mistake that you've made.
  2. To sort out what you actually did wrong from the harsh judgments that other people make about you, so that you can replace the shame that you feel with self-acceptance, self-forgiveness, and a mature blend of humility and true self-esteem.
  3. To put your actual errors into proper perspective, to learn from them, to forgive yourself, and to learn to accept and love yourself as you are.
